How to choose your Conveyancer ?

When it comes to choosing a conveyancer, it's important to do your research. You not only want to have someone someone who is experienced and qualified in the field, but also who is relatable and easy to communicate with.

Here are a few tips to help you find the right conveyancer:

Look for experience: Your conveyancer should have a solid track record of working on property transactions. At SL Conveyancing we have over 80 years of property experience as we only specialise in conveyancing.

Check for good communication and customer service skills: You'll be working closely with your conveyancer throughout the process, so it's really important that you feel comfortable with them and feel you can ask any question. The process can be confusing and stressful so here at SL Conveyancing we aim for you to "stress less". We strive to be responsive, transparent, and able to explain legal matters in a clear and concise manner that you will actually understand.

Get recommendations: Ask friends or real estate agents for recommendations on conveyancers they have worked with in the past. This can give you a sense of the conveyancer's reputation and level of service. We love client feedback and actively request Google Reviews to help us continue to be effective in the conveyancing industry.

Compare fees (and what you get for that fee): When comparing conveyancing fees, make sure to consider not just the cost, but also what is actually included in that fee. Some conveyancers may charge a higher fee, but provide a more comprehensive range of services, such as assistance with contract negotiation or advice on stamp duty. Others may appear lower but end up costing you more at the end buying adding in additional items not covered in their set fee cost.

Check for online reviews: In today's digital age, it's easy to find online reviews for businesses and professionals. Look for conveyancers who have positive reviews. You can check ours out at @slconveyancing on Instragram.
